The prices shown on this page are a very close estimation of the package price for surgery. However when you book your operation you will receive a detailed written quotation which will not be exceeded.
DO THESE COSTS INCLUDE POSTOPERATIVE TREATMENT?
Yes, your surgery quotation will clearly state that the costs include your normal follow-up appointments and this will be clearly stated.
WHY ARE THE PRICES ONLY APPLICABLE TO MR METCALFE'S CHINGFORD CLINIC?
Mr Metcalfe has developed close links with the Chingford Foot & Clinic clinic which is fully CQC approved. The facility offers a range of Day Case surgery under local anaesthetic. The centre has also negotiated competitive costs with medical suppliers without any compromise in quality. As a result the clinic is able to offer competitive prices for the theatre hire and x-ray investigations.

During your initial consultation Mr Metcalfe will listen carefully to your concerns and identify the cause of the problems. An initial treatment plan is normally possible. The advantage of the Chingford Foot & Ankle Centre is we are able to combine same day review with x-rays at significantly more competitive prices than most private hospitals.

Clinical reviews after treatment are essential to discuss the results of any test or to check on your progress. At the Chingford Foot & Ankle Centre we provide two levels of review appointment.

BUNION CORRECTION
Mr Metcalfe specialises in corrective bunion surgery and is recognised as an expert in this field. He is pleased to offer day case bunion surgery under local anaesthetic. This price includes two follow-up appointments for dressings. Additional follow-up appointments charged at the normal fee. You will require at least one postoperative x-ray following & review with Mr Metcalfe which is charged separately.

CLAW TOE CORRECTION
Bent toes can be a source of great pain. Here at the Chingford Foot & Ankle clinic we are able to offer corrective surgery to fix clawed and hammer toes under local anaesthetic. These prices include the cost of your surgery and two dressing appointments. Review with Mr Metcalfe is billed separately.

MORTON NEUROMA ALCOHOL INJECTIONS
Morton's neuroma can cause significant pain and disability to those unlucky enough to be troubled by this common condition. Whilst there are many treatment "sclerosing injections" have been found to be highly effective and avoid the need for open surgery. We can offer a complete course of treatment for a fixed package price with your injections given by an experienced consultant.

NEUROMA REMOVAL
Morton's neuroma is a painful condition which may require surgical removal of the damaged nerve. Mr Metcalfe offers this treatment under local anaesthetic at the Chingford Foot & Ankle Clinic. Please note that each neuroma removed has to be sent for histology. This cost is billed directly to you. These prices include theatre costs, drugs and dressings and two dressing appointments.

TOE SHORTENING (FUSION)
Toe shortening is indicated for patients with long toes which cause pain and discomfort, typically because the long toe(s) have to buckle to fit inside the shoe.

VERRUCA REMOVAL
If you have longstanding or painful verrucae then removal with combined electro-desiccation and needling can be an effective treatment. We offer this as a treatment which can be arranged in advance combining your assessment and treatment on the same day. This helps keep your costs down whilst ensuring the highest clinical standards.
During your initial consultation Mr Metcalfe will review your medical history and undertake a full check on your circulation as well as confirm that what you think are verruca actually are. He will then explain fully the range of treatment options. If appropriate and if appropriate you will receive your first of three treatments with one of the most advanced verruca removal treatment today (Swift Emblation)
